The idea of the “Offer” is the primal, utopian, idea of overcoming the longing for balance, or the longing for something to be given in return. When a gift is given, the receiver finds itself in the obligation of giving back. The Offer as “pure giving” has instead no possible gain: here the balance is subverted. This can happen if the offer is already considered as a giving back.
