The ritual consists of offering fruit to the water. The idea of the “Offer” is the primal, utopian, idea of overcoming the longing for balance, or the longing for something to be given in return. When a gift is given, the part which receives it finds itself in the obligation of giving back. The Offer as I intend it is, instead, “pure giving”, where no gain is possible, where this balance is completely subverted. This can happen if the offer is already considered as a giving back. The ritual tries to enact this idea of pure giving.
