The base of Zeltiņi in Latvia was a Soviet secret nuclear missile base during the Cold War. The base is now abandoned and decontaminated. The Radiant Path is part of the project Tree of Dawn, which looks at radioactivity through the Latvian myth of the Sun-Tree: a mythological figure that originated from the traveling of the sun across the various dimensions of existence, between the underworld and this world. The artist has interpreted the myth by reading radioactivity, looking at the similarities between invisible radioactive contamination and the appearance of the Tree, and following its traces in the base through a chromatography of the soil and the movements of a slime mold in the map, to develop a ritualistic re-enacting of the myth.
